The 武藏工业与星航株式会社 Reliant Kore is the base model of the Reliant series and is a mini hauler with additional speed and dogfighting capabilities not found in a dedicated freighter ship. It is specifically designed as a multi-purpose ship and has a larger carrying capacity than many ships in its class.[1]

Features
- Xi'an Technology: Reliant makes copious use of this. From a moving cockpit that slots into place depending on the flight mode to omni-directional thrusters licensed under the trade agreement with 奥波亚. Advanced Xi'an metal composites make up the armored wingspan, and every control surface has been meticulously updated from those developed for the Freelancer by MISC's internal xenotech team.[2]
History
- "Boomerang" project: In 2946, following on the success of the 自由枪骑兵 "Built for Life" campaign, MISC has begun development of a smaller, introductory-class spacecraft that can be operated by a single pilot. The "Boomerang" project, later known as the Reliant, was developed in both the main MISC plant located in Saisei and the Xi'an MISC plant located in Shorvu by lead designer Edward Alburn and lead engineer Monica Feyez.[3] The ship series is designed to compete with the 罗伯茨太空工业 Aurora and the 联合外域 Mustang.[4]
- MISCː Expanding it's cargo role: The Kore variant was designed specifically by MISC to act as a balanced support its own Hull series. While the Hull line is solely dedicated to moving cargo from point to point with little interference, the nimble and better-armed Reliant is ideal for journeys that might involve an engagement or two. The Reliant has been approved for sale and flight around the inhabited galaxy in 2946.[5]

Development
- Losing SCU capacity: During the finalising of the ship design, it was decided that there was a need for a permanent walkway from the rear entrance to the cockpit, straight through the cargo area. However, because the exterior model was already complete, this meant that the ships cargo capacity had to be reduced from the the initial design of 6 SCU to 4 SCU to accommodate the change.
- Restoring the lost SCU: When the ship became flyable, it was quickly released that the cargo hold was too small when compared to other ships like the 极光-CL. After a time, the developers started to work on how to restore the lost SCU without having a radical redesign. The solution was to just simply extend the length of the cargo hold which helped to add an additional 2 SCU. This extended design was also used on the other variants to help solve issues with internal space when they finally became flyable.
- Beefing up the weaponry: A new twin gimbal mount is added to the ship since Alpha 3.9.[6]
